TECHNICAL RIDER MACIEJ OBARA QUARTET
SOUND REQUIREMENTS
The following are minimum requirements. All equipment especially substitutions of preferred brands is subject of ARTISTS approval. Please contact us in case you have any doubts/problems.
FOH
Minimum 24 inputs console with channel inserts, 4 band sweep EQ, phantom power (please note it of utmost importance) and minimum six (6) switch-able pre / post aux sends. Preferred: Yamaha, Midas.
P.A.
System should be STEREO with 1/3 octave EQ (preferred Klark Teknik, BSS) at the mix position. Speaker system prefered active – 3 way – originally made by reputable company. Preferred: Mayer, Turbosound, EAW, JBL Vertec. The total power should be calculated: 2 W per one (1) person at the audience.
EFFECTS AND PROCESSING
Two (2) digital FX processors (preferred: Lexicon PCM 70, and Yamaha SPX 990) and four (4) channels of compressor (PREFERRED: Drawmer, dbx).
MONITORS
Four (4) separate mixes – run from FOH desk provided there are enoughpre-fader send on sound console. All mixes must be controlled by 1/3 octave EQ’s. We’ll need three (3) wedges – each containing 15″ speaker and 1″ driver. Preferred are bi-amped wedges, but passive also are acceptable.

Toms and bass drum MUST have Remo Coated Ambassador heads on both sides.

Normal clear remo underhead on snare drum bottom side and Remo Coated Ambassador head on the top!

1 x bd pedal (vintage camco with single chain is preffered)
1 x drum throne (must be high adjustable)
1 x drum rug (1×2 meters)
All stands must be in perfect condition!!

- PIANO
Should be a Concert Grand Piano (preferred Steinway & Sons Model D or B, or Yamaha S Series C7). Piano shall be professionally tuned (440 or 442) before the sound check and directly before the show.
If there is any other band on that day, the grand piano must be tuned directly before Maciej Obara Quartet show. A professional tuner should be on hand between the sound check and the show.

- DOUBLE BASS
Please provide a high quality 3/4 double-bass, hand-manufactured with:
– adjustable bridge and pick-up,
– gut strings preferred on d and g if possible
– D scale length
– amp: preferred model: GK
– owner must be ok with adjustments to string height and/or string type – I will bring my own strings for backup and must be able to put them on if needed.
Please make sure that the double bass has no damages to the instrument’s body and shall be in perfect operational conditions.
Sometimes Ole Morten Vagan brings his own bass. Please consult with the manager.

Maciej Obara is bringing his own mic –
Three (3) music stands should be available.
The SYSTEM and Stage should be set up and checked by competent crew, familiar to all equipment – the latest one hour before the gig starts.

– Coca-Cola – 2 bottle x 1l
– Non carbonated water – 8 bottles x 0,5l
– Fruit juices (orange, apple) – 2 bottles x 1l
– coffee, tea, sugar, milk .
Food:
– Cold platter for 5 people,
– Dinner for 5 (2 vegetarians).
For the show:
Water – non carbonated 8 bottles
