Grand piano: Tuned the same day. 442hz, if possible. With an adjustable piano chair.
Microphones for the piano: A stereo pair of good condenser mics (Shoeps MK4, DPA 4011/4006, AKG C414, Neumann KM184). On request, if needed: Supplementary dynamic mic (e.g. SM57) tucked into the resonator hole for monitoring.
Drum set:
Gretsch, Slingerland, Hayman or Leedy, anything from the 60s is great – but the sizes are most important:
18×15» bass drum
12×10» rack tom
14×10-14» floor tom
14×5-6» snare drum
Cymbal stand x2 – with felt and stoppers
Hihat stand – clutch not needed
Snare stand
Bass drum pedal w/felt beater
Drum chair w/adjustable height
Legs for floor tom and mount system or extra snare stand for rack tom
All drums must have single ply coated heads like Remo coated Ambassador or Evans Coated G1, brand not important. Absolutely not blackdot or powerstroke.
Bass equipment: Amplifier: Gallien-Krueger MB150S or similar. Radial PZ DI box and DPA B4099 microphone with mounting system for the upright bass.
On stage: A towel and bottle of water for each musician, preferably without gas.
